RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES

E.E.O. Public Service announcements ran on WWKY-FM, WTTL-FM, and WTTL-AM during April 2018 through March 2019. These are announcements intended to reach organizations or job seekers, informing them of employment opportunities or to contact us if they would like to receive job vacancy notices. They also announce to the public that we are an equal opportunity employer.
April 2019 — Stephanie Vandygriff, and Cindy Watts attended the Hopkins County Job Expo at the Ballard Convention Center. They distributed information sheets with a list of career opportunities in the radio industry that provided detailed job descriptions as well as approximate pay scales. Resumes were taken and applications were handed out to interested persons.
September 2019 — Boy Scout Troop 718 visited the radio station at 265 south Main Street in Madisonville. Present were Stephanie Vandygriff and Cindy Watts. A tour was given describing the different equipment and the function it performs in the radio station. The different jobs performed in the station were also described to the scouts and questions were taken.
January 2020 — Students from all area schools from Elementary to high school visited on this day from Junior Leadership. The students were broken up into teams of 4 to write a PSA. During the visit groups were also given a tour of the radio station and educated on the different departments and job responsibilities within the building from sales to news and production. Each team was also given the opportunity to record their own PSA. Questions were taken as well. Present were Stephanie Vandygriff, Craig Daniel and Cindy Watts.
January 2020 — Girl Scout Troop 513 visited on this day and took a tour of the radio station. Present were Craig Daniel and Stephanie Vandygriff. The girls were given a tour of the radio station and educated on all the different job opportunities and job responsibilities in the radio industry. They were also interviewed on air by Craig Daniel. They were given the opportunity to ask questions.
November 2019 — Sponsor of Impact Mentoring to introduce students to broadcasting.
January 2020 — Cornerstone Prep School toured the studios to learn about broadcasting.
January 2020 — Cindy Watts supported JA in a Day at area schools
February 2020 — FBLA students toured the studios and observed as on-air talent performed their duties.
