Kenneth “Gabe” Taylor, 87, of Sebree, KY passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville.
He was born on June 7, 1939, in Madisonville, KY to the late Ruth Hayden Tompkins Taylor and Jay Harvey Taylor. Kenneth was a United States Army Veteran. He retired from the City of Madisonville Water Department and was a farmer. He enjoyed watching wrestling, UK Basketball and the WNBA. Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors fox hunting and gardening.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Ray Taylor.
Survivors include his brothers, Marty (Jennifer) Taylor and Walter (Shannon) Taylor both of Madisonville, KY; nephews, Jacob Taylor of Madisonville, Jonathon (Justin) Taylor of Bowling Green, KY, Robert (Gabriela) Mason of Henderson, KY; nieces, Tiffany Marie Taylor of Port Richey, FL, Kristie (Mike) Marks of Madisonville, Jamie Mason of Louisville, KY; and the cats he adored, Scooter and No Name.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at Oakley Home Cemetery in Manitou, KY with military honors conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Marty Taylor, Kenny Caraway, Walter Taylor, and Jacob Taylor.
