Daniel “Dan” Marvin Vanlue, 85, of Nebo, KY, formerly of Cadiz, KY passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Brickyard Rehab, Evansville, IN.
He was born on August 18, 1941, in New Liberty, Indiana to Harry Vanlue and Dorothy lucreita Ritchey Vanlue.
He is preceded in death by his brother Dave Vanlue, his wife Sheila N Fulks Vanlue.
Dan was a member of Hanson Holiness Church. Dan made his living being “Dan the Mowing Man” mowing yards. He enjoyed spending time with his son, Shawn Vanlue and his wife, and his grandchildren.
He loved spending time with the Breakfast crew at Marketplace and local diners, as well as spending time at the mowing shop on South Main Street, Madisonville, KY.
Dan is survived by his sons Shawn A. (Elaine) Vanlue of Nebo, KY. Ransom Tyron (Ty) of Evansville, IN. and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date at Cumberland Cemeteries, Golden Pond, Trigg County, Kentucky.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hopkins County Honor Guard or to Abundant Grace Fellowship Church Missions Department.
