Russell “Russ” Neal Moore, 72, of Mortons Gap, KY passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.
He was born on August 15, 1954 in Madisonville, KY to the late Marion Roland and Ola Mae Moore.
Russ was of the Baptist faith. He had worked as a contractor for Concrete Service in Henderson, KY, was Co-Owner of Central Home Builders in Madisonville, KY, and he retired from the Job Core in Graham, KY.
He enjoyed playing softball and golf for many years. He was a UK basketball fan. Russ loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them on golf cart rides to look at deer, and going to their sporting events.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Tena Moore; brothers, Steve Kennett, and Robert “Bubby” Moore; nephew, Christopher Moore; and cousin, Billy Joe Brown
Russ is survived by his wife Sharon Moore of Mortons Gap, KY; his children Lindsey (Beau) McGuire of Madisonville, KY and Whitney (Brian) Perdue of Madisonville, KY; four grandchildren, Cameran McGuire, Belle McGuire, Annastyn McGuire, and Hayden Perdue; and one nephew, Lacy Kennett.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 2:00PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Terry Barnes officiating and burial to follow at Old Salem Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00PM the funeral home.
