Kenneth E. Allen, 85, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Madisonville Health and Rehab.
He was born on May 11, 1941, in Richland, KY, to the late Earl Allen and Sybil Boyd Allen. He retired from Cimarron Coal Company. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a member of Suthards Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shane DeMoss; sister, Joyce Stewart; and stepson, Tim Traylor.
His survivors include his wife, Jan Traylor Allen; son, Ronnie Allen; stepdaughter, Sherri (Patrick) Yates; sisters, Carol (Arthur) Castle, Glenda (Richard) Reiss, and Mary (Wesley) Wood; brother, Gerald Allen; five grandsons; one granddaughter; six great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Lantrip and Bro. Patrick Yates officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jamie DeMoss, Nathan DeMoss, Noah DeMoss, Jared Yates, Matthew Yates, and Garrett Rice. The honorary pallbearers will be Nick Allen, Will Allen, Gerald Allen, Zack Traylor, Colby Traylor, and Mac Travis.
