Cora Mae Bean, 85, of St. Charles, KY passed away on Monday, September 1, 2026 at her home.
She was born on October 31, 1940 in St. Charles, KY to the late Noble J. Nixon and Geneva Bloodworth Bean.
Cora was of the General Baptist faith. She retired from Hopkins County Schools where she worked in Food Service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Bean; son, Timothy Charles Bean; sister, Mary Helen Adams; brothers, Rickie Bean, William David Bean, Noble Wayne Nixon, and Cecil Ray Nixon.
Cora is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Billy) Smith of St. Charles, KY and Kathy (Roy) Cherry of Madisonville, KY; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Heather) Smith, Corey (Ashley) Smith, Leandra (Adam) Kellam, and Rebekah (Wyatt) Jones; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 10:00Am at Christian Privilege cemetery in St. Charles, KY with Rev. Danny Earl officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chris Bean, Adam Kellam, Tyler Moore, Trey Moore, Jay Nixon, and Jeff Nixon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy, Corey, Timmy, and Caleb.
Reid-Walters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
