The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce says the Commonwealth’s ability to support continued economic growth will depend in part on investments in transportation, housing, energy, and other critical infrastructure. The Kentucky Chamber of Infrastructure and Technology Policy-Council meeting included Senate Majority Caucus Chair Robby Mills. The panel focused on the need for continued investment in roads, options for long-term transportation funding, and the infrastructure needed to support new housing and economic development.
Careless driving is what drew the attention of the police to an I-69 vehicle near mile marker 108. Due to previous information, it was known that Dominic Berth had some illegal narcotics in his Cadillac S-R-X that he was going sell. The drug dog arrived and located some illegal narcotics. Also found was some drug paraphernalia which led to Berth’s arrest. Berth is now facing a charge of trafficking cocaine.

It’s just been determined that the top rated community college in the state is Madisonville Community College. The analysis highlights strong scores in education affordability, student retention, and career outcomes. MCC is noted for high-performing associate degrees, particularly in allied health and nursing. Ranking second is Owensboro Community and Technical College. Kentucky ranks high nationally as a top-tier state for community college systems.
Unless they have a special exemption, Kentucky Sex Offender registrants are restricted from loitering or being present on the grounds of schools, daycare centers, and public playgrounds. The Madisonville police say Jacob Scott was arrested this month for being on the campus of Hopkins Central High School on August 19th. The violation was exposed when he checked in at the front desk of the school. Scott was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Kentucky’s highway death toll is taking a turn for the worse. After three years of reduced deaths, this year, the numbers are turning around. Governor Beshear says the deaths involve the same old reasons.
