A swerving vehicle on Grapevine Road is what led the police to do a traffic stop. A search of Bradley Rolley’s Chevrolet Tahoe produced a bag of what was thought to be meth. The officer also found the schedule 3 narcotic drug known as suboxone. Rolley was transported to the detention center.
The state police are reporting an increase in reported scams involving requests for personal information and money. They say some of the scams ask their victims to deposit money into bitcoin machines or send money through a bitcoin app. Officials say other scammers pretend to be law enforcement officials or government officials who are requesting personal information. If they contact you, please contact authorities. Law enforcement says they never direct the public to send money in any method.

They have been updated on the status of Kentucky’s nonprofit sector, and have heard about guarding philanthropic freedom.
Kentucky oil tax collections are now underway. The crude petroleum severance taxes and property taxes are managed by the state. Payments, guidelines, and accounts are processed through the Kentucky Department of Revenue. If you do not receive your bill by the 10th, contact your sheriff’s office. Those who pay this month receive a 2 per cent discount. Those paying in September pay the face amount. There’s a 5 percent penalty for those who pay in October. The 21 per cent penalty begins in November.
The officer who witnessed a vehicle run through a stop sign is charging the driver with possession of heroin. Sherry Martinez had three others in the vehicle. After the drug dog Loki alerted the officer to illicit drugs, all four were arrested and taken to the county jail. Besides Martinez, the others were Bryan Allison, Morgan Bivins, and Hailee Warner.
Leadership Hopkins County is now accepting proposals from eligible nonprofit organizations for community-based projects. This request is designed to identify projects that align with local needs and provide meaningful benefits. Each will be reviewed on a competitive basis, and selected organizations may be invited to present additional details. Leadership Hopkins County will not serve as the funding source for the project, but may provide leadership, volunteer service, and engagement support.
