Paul Royce Coughlin, 78, of Henderson, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on November 23, 1947, to the late John “Jack” George Coughlin and Mildred Julia Ellsworth Coughlin.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Sean Coughlin; sisters, Barbara Ann Coughlin and Mary Coughlin; his brothers, Robert “Robin” Coughlin, Patrick Coughlin and William “Bill” Coughlin.
Paul was a sports enthusiast and loved the Denver Broncos. He was a follower of all things politics and always kept himself up to date on political topics. He loved golf. He always made time for his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Autumn (Tyler) Pope and Kelly (Rick) White; his identical twin brother, John “Sid” (Karen) Coughlin of Madisonville, Ky; brother, James “Jimmy” Coughlin of Portland, OR; his half-sister, Kathleen Gamble of Punta Gorda, FL; his grandchildren, Olivia White, Mary Emma White, Briar Pope, and Mack Pope; his niece and caregiver, Shelly Martin; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
