Troy Lynn Walker, 73, of Lake Station Indiana, formerly of Madisonville, KY, passed away at home on Monday, July 6, 2026.Troy was born on July 23, 1952, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Henry H. Walker and Maybell Josleyn Walker. He worked at the U.S. Steel Mill in Gary, Indiana for thirty years before he retired as a pipe fitter and moved back to Kentucky. Troy enjoyed spending time playing golf and playing his weekly card games. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers, Robert Lee Walker, Edward E. Walker, Windell Whitfield; and one sister Vada Walker Duncan.

Troy’s survivors include his children, Robert (Mary) Walker of Lake Station, IN, Michael (Mary) Walker of Hammond, IN, Brian Walker and Anita Walker, both of Madisonville, KY; two stepchildren, Heather Campbell of Madisonville, KY and Jason Jones of Lake Station, IN; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. David Fambrough officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
