Sandra Kaye “Sandy” Johnson, age 58, of Nortonville, KY, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, KY. She was born August 23, 1967 to the late John Royal and Phyllis Wells Royal. Sandy worked for many years in the housekeeping department at Dawson Pointe Nursing Home.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of 35 years ~ Danny Johnson of Nortonville, KY; two daughters ~ Phyllis Renee Winters of Madisonville, KY and Stephanie Cheyanne Johnson of Nortonville, KY; her son ~ Eric Lee Johnson of Nortonville, KY; her sister ~ Susie Royal of Caldwell County, KY; three brothers ~ John “Bud” Royal, Jr. of Ilsley, KY, Timmy Royal of Ilsley, KY and Steve “Dob” Royal of Madisonville, KY and four grandchildren ~ Tristan Winters, Ryleigh Winters, Luke Winters and Heavenly Durrant.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister ~ Sherri Plunkette.

There will be a public visitation held in the honor of Sandra Kaye “Sandy” Johnson on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from noon until the 2:00 PM funeral service hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric Lee Johnson, Phillip Winters, Dempsey Faulk, Marcus Miller, Tristan Winters and Kevin Plunkette.
