A call to the police from a member of the public about an intoxicated man is what resulted in his arrest on four charges. The police say Aaron Rice was passed out in a vehicle at the Ideal Market at 22-50 Anton Road. The police located a plastic baggie containing synthetic marijuana. Rice had slurred speech and was lethargic.
It was a search warrant that allowed the police to confiscate suspected meth, T-H-C vapes, and drug paraphernalia from an East Broadway resident. Sherry Martinez claimed ownership of the items and was taken to the detention center.

The Madisonville police agree that the man who broke into Madisonville North High School Friday night will face four charges. The police say video shows Isaiah Locke pulling on the front door until it opened. He was confronted by the janitor at 11 o’clock. She noted that he appeared to be under the influence. Later, the police contacted Locke at his home where he admitted what he did. Locke faces four charges. They include burglary.
The Madisonville police have the details about the man who locked himself out of his car. A welfare check had the officers visit Wendy’s on East Center Street where they met Edward Ladson. The police say they could tell he had been smoking marijuana. Ladson had a medical card entitling him to marijuana. He is charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.

The new school superintendent in Muhlenberg County goes to work on July 1st. In the last 25 years, Brian Lile has been a teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal, and the district’s Human Resource Director. Lile is a Muhlenberg County native and graduated from Muhlenberg South High School.
One of the leading producers and marketers of moist smokeless tobacco, plans to build a new facility in Hopkinsville. U.S. Smokeless Tobacco says it would create over 200 new jobs. They say they looked at multiple options for their manufacturing facility, but after meeting with Governor Beshear, they chose Hopkinsville. The project is pending approval of proposed state incentives by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.
