Joseph “Joe” Welsh, 75, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.He was born on June 10, 1950, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Georgia “Betty” Brackett Welsh and Billy Gene Welsh. He was a proud Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. He worked in Commercial Construction as a carpenter. He loved animals and enjoyed going to auctions. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Joe was of the Christian faith.His survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Shirley Gamblin Welsh; sons, Joshua Welsh of Madisonville, Joseph Welsh of Florida, and Paul (Candi) Lamb of Madisonville; and his grandchildren, J.T. Lamb and Khloe Lamb.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Bro. Danny Wix officiating. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Hopkins County Honor Guard.
