Obituary

Tracy Dale Brashear, 68, of Manitou, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.He was born on May 2, 1958, in Evansville, IN, to the late Gayle Carter Brashear and William “Bill” Bernie Brashear. He retired from Warrior Coal Company. He was a mason for Sebree Masonic Lodge #538 F. & A.M. His passion was AG mechanics and his favorite being tractor restoration. He enjoyed bass fishing and was considered a good friend to many. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and his family. Tracy was a member of Concord General Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Evelyn Brashear; brother, Mark “Coach Brass” Brashear; and his nephew, Bernie Brashear.

His survivors include his wife, Cheryl Coleman; daughter, Kristy (Jason) Patterson of Hanson, KY; son, Dustin (Shawna) Brashear of Nebo, KY; sister, Alisa (Gary) Scheibelein of Camden, TN; grandchildren, Courtney Patterson, Kendall Patterson, Ryleigh Brashear, Ramsie Brashear, and Ryder Brashear; and his pet Jerusalem donkeys, Sassy and Jenny.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Barber officiating. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in Manitou, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be held at 12:45 p.m. by the Sebree Masonic Lodge #538 F. & A.M.

Pallbearers are Drew Spence, Maveric Brady, Chris Deahl, Greg Deahl, George Pryor, Keith Majors, and Russell Murray. The honorary pallbearers are Scott Deahl and Keith Spence.
