Obituary

Danny Lee Lutz, 76, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.He was born on September 19, 1949, in Hanson, KY, to the late Ollie Sue Myers Lutz and LaFayette Hefner Lutz. He was formerly employed as a salesperson for Terminix Pest Control. He enjoyed fishing and was known through the community as a people person where he always enjoyed his conversations with others. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Danny was the pastor for thirty-one years over Hanson Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Carolyn Graue and Helen Mangum; and his brothers, Jerry Lutz, Jimmy Lutz, and Derek Calbreath.

His survivors include his daughters, Lori Lutz of Providence, KY, and Sierra (Eric) Lutz of Madisonville; sister, Patsy Frasier of Slaughters, KY; brothers, Mike Lutz and Ricky Lutz, both of Slaughters; grandchildren, Brittany (Callie) McCollum, Logan (Sarah) Earl, Kaden Benton, and Dallas Benton; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Hall officiating. Burial to follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Mike Lutz, Ricky Lutz, Eric Stallins, Josh Taylor, Logan Earl, and Thomas Lutz. The honorary pallbearer is Robert Patterson.
