Obituary
He was born on December 22, 1966, in Anchorage, AK, to Judy Smith Merrill and Barry Merrill. He was currently employed as the office manager for Ricky Wilson Construction, and he also previously worked at Lowes as a kitchen designer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid UK Fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Jeff was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roland Merrill and Pauline Reynolds Merrill; and his maternal grandparents, Odell Smith and Mary Franklin Smith.
His survivors include his parents, Barry Merrill and Judy Smith Merrill of Nortonville; fiancé, Georgianna Faulk of Dawson Springs, KY; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his beloved dog, Blue.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Pierce officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the service hour on Thursday at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are Randall Miller, Ricky Wilson, Jon Wilson, Stuart Renfro, Timmy Moore, and Tyler Moore.
In Jeff’s honor, the family is requesting that loved ones wear something in Kentucky Blue.
