Linda VanCleve, 80

Sharon VanCleve, 80, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Dawson Springs Health & Rehab in Dawson Springs, KY. She was born on May 17, 1945, in Crestview, FL to the late Sharid Levi Strickland and Edna Earl Carr Strickland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray VanCleve; along with two brothers, Harold Strickland and Ronny Strickland. Sharon worked as a teacher at Nebo and West Hopkins. She had served as PTA President, was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church, Women of the Vine, and the Tops club. She is survived by her sons, Drew (Cindy) VanCleve and Dray (Ruth Ann) VanCleve; sister, Barbara Reaves; and six grandchildren, Taylee VanCleve, Tanner VanCleve, Lilian (Alex) Cheshier, Preztin (Alaina) VanCleve, Gabriel VanCleve, and Nathaniel VanCleve. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Madisonville Chapel with Dr. Mark Partin officiating. Burial will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service timeon Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Grapevine Baptist Church.
