Mark Ellis Firestone, 67

Mark Ellis Firestone, 67, of Madisonville, KY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born on March 17, 1958, in Summerset, PA, to the late Levern Ellis Firestone and Audrey Bauman Firestone. He was also preceded in death by four sisters. Mark retired after 21 years in the US Army, was a Teacher for the JROTC for 13 years, and then became a Remodeling Specialist for Nicks. He loved his family and friends, hunting, fishing, camping, and the outdoors. Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Belinda Cirks Firestone a daughter, Jessica (Todd) Lesousky of Louisville, KY; three sons, Ryan (Allison) Sorensen of Ames, IA, Brad (Taylor) Firestone of Madisonville, and Josh (Melissa) Sorenson Louisville, KY; two sisters, Sally (Bob) Snyder of Stoyestown, PA, and Samantha (Randy) Keller of Tampa, FL; one brother, Greg (Barbara) Firestone of Myrtle Beach, SC; and six grandchildren, Graven, Laney, Millie, Ellie, Jacob, and Sophia. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Monday, September 15, 2025, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and Crematory, Madisonville Chapel, with Paul Hayes, Kevin Clark, and Tommy Basham officiating. Burial to follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.
