Obituary
She was born on August 30, 1951, in Sebree, KY, to the late Chloe LeGrand Keown. Mari Lou was a true spitfire, quick-witted and full of life. She never let anyone leave her home without a laugh. She had a passion for true crime shows and books, a sharp sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes, and a heart that loved fiercely.
She spent more than thirty years working at GE, but her most important work was being the matriarch of her family. Mari was an incredible cook, one of the very best, and her kitchen was always a place of comfort, warmth, and stories.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Carri Brock, Leah Yandall-Lewellen, and Tyler Yandall; her beloved grandchildren, Caitlin and Connor Brock; son-in-law, Bobby Lewellen; and daughter-in-law, Jade Yandall. To them, she was more than a mother and grandmother; she was their rock, their laughter, and their home.
A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home conducted by Kevin Barnes.
Mari Lou lived most of her life in Madisonville, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will forever carry her strength, humor, and love in their hearts
