Obituary
He was born on October 3, 1946, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Bonnie Duncan Harris and John “J.V.” Virgil Harris. He was a self-employed master logger and finished his career as a service concierge at Toyota. He was a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed watching movies, golfing, fishing, was an avid UK basketball fan, and singing was his heart. He loved his family, and his greatest joy was spending time with them. Danny was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Dale Harris.
His survivors include his high school sweetheart and the love of his life for sixty years, his wife, Connie McKinney Harris of Madisonville; sons, Mike (Stephanie) Harris of Madisonville and Jon (Mary) Harris of Dickson, TN; daughter, Merideth (Brad) Tyson of Hopkinsville, KY; sisters, Lisa (Phillip) Anderson of Madisonville and Linda (Chris) Liberto of North Port, AL; grandchildren, Josh (Haley) Harris, Justin (Gabrielle) Harris, Cody Oldham, Jeremy Baker, Hunter (Dane) McCuiston, Maddi (Mason) Donaldson, and Braedyn (Ansley) Tyson; great-grandchildren, Andi, Emmitt, Bristol, Briley, Laiyla, Kendall, Easton, Dani, Drew, and one on the way, Murphy Jean; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Clifton and Travis Goodman officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Justin Harris, Josh Harris, Cody Oldham, Braedyn Tyson, Dane McCusiton, and Mason Donaldson. Honorary pallbearers are Emmitt Harris and Easton Baker.
