Jean Smith, 88

Jean Smith, 88, of Smyrna, TN passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born on March 28, 1937, in Madisonville, KY to the late Vernon R. Messamore and Lucille C. Messamore. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dana Morrow. Jean was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church. She loved shopping and flowers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and her constant companion, Bella. She is survived by her daughter in law, Lisa Morrow; two grandchildren, Christopher (Diana) Morrow and Chelsey Morrow, both of Lavergne, TN; great grandchildren, Rivera Morrow and Santana Morrow; one brother, Ray (Sandy) Messamore of Madisonville; four nieces and nephews, Andrea Engelmeyer, Jason Messamore, Rona Locke, and Pam Bowyer; one daughter, Phyllis (Steve) Kerrick; two grand-daughters, Kristie (Steven) Servais of Henderson, NV, and Holan (Derek) Shetlar of Olathe, KS; and two great grandchildren, Samantha Servais and Austin Shetlar. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Grapevine Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
