Obituary
He was born on July 30, 1957, in Madisonville, KY, to the late William “Bill” and Marilee Wilson Morgan. Mike was a lifetime member of C.S.Hoffman Lodge 252, and served as a past master and past district deputy. He also served as chairman of Hopkins County School Board and was a board representative for twenty plus years of service. Mike was a member of the Rizpah Tri-Corp unit for many years. He worked at Pyro Coal Mines, ran a construction company for much of his life, and was the owner and operator of Morgan Buildings. Mike was a member of Nebo Baptist Church.
His survivors include his sons, Michael (Jennifer) Morgan II of Greer, SC, and Jared (Amanda) Morgan of Valley, AL; brothers, Steve (Kathy) Morgan of Nebo, Troy Morgan of Madisonville, and Tracy (Melanie) Morgan of Nebo; sister, Karen Lantrip of Nebo; grandchildren, Haley (Riley) Harkins, Alexis “Lexie” (Chendan) Wade, Kaitlyn “Katie” Morgan, and Mason Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Parrish officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Union Cemetery in Nebo.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home.
