Obituary
She was born on December 22, 1946, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Mary Phillips Osborn and Edwin Neal. She enjoyed shopping. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Brenda was a member of Marion General Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, Garland Wendell Back; stepfather, Kenneth Osborn; son, Darrin Lynn; brother, Johnny Osborn; and best friend, Sue Loney Miller.
Her survivors include her son, Wesley (Amy) Lynn of Madisonville; daughter, Patsy (John) Harris of Hanson, KY; brother, Eddie (Pettie) Neal of Madisonville; grandchildren, Joey Lynn, Justin Harris, Blake (Lindsey) Harris, Chris (Kaylee) Franklin, Whitney (Brendan) Brooks, and Melanie (Caelan) Slate; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Wesley Lynn officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Nick Bailey, B.J. Johnson, Joey Lynn, Chris Franklin, Caelen Slate, and Blake Falk. Honorary pallbearers are Lane Harris, Justin Harris, Blake Harris, Charlie Harris, and Brendan Brooks.
