Joyce Coffman West, 92, of Madisonville, KY passed away Friday January 17, 2025, at Just Like Home Senior Living in Nashville, TN.
She was born on December 19, 1932, in Sacramento, KY to the late Ray Coffman and Gladys Dossett Coffman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leslie West, her sisters, Margaret Albin, Jean Wice, Ann Stroud, and Addie Garst.
Joyce was a member of First Christian Church; she worked at the Paper Mill and worked at Clements Jewelers for many years. She never met a stranger, loved to write long letters to her friends, and was always there to help others.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Rutledge of Franklin, TN and Karen (Jim) Call of Bon Aqua, TN; five grandchildren, Matthew Rutledge of St. Louis, MO, Lesley Call (Lindsay Moore) of Los Angeles, CA, Chris ( Lilas) Call of Chattanooga, TN, Adam (Surbhi) Call of Nashville, TN, and Tim Call also of Nashville, and one great grandson, Isaac Call; a brother in law, Clayton West of Sacramento and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 31, 2025, at Barnett Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Miller officiating and Rev. Kara Foster officiating the graveside.
Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Rutledge, Chris Call, Adam Call, Tim Call, Lindsay Moore and Ernie Garst.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Capital Campaign.
