Jeril Lee Clark, 87, of Barnsley, KY passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at his home.
He was born on August 30, 1937 in Earlington, KY to the late Gordon “GD” and Leenora Clark.
Jeril was a member of the Earlington Assembly of God church in Earlington, KY and had worked as a coal miner at FIES #9 Island Creek Mine. In addition to coal mining, he had also worked construction for Kelley and Wilmore and had been a security guard.
He was a member of the Mortons Gap Masonic Lodge in Mortons Gap, KY and he liked to fish.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Ann Clark, his brothers, Donald Wayne Clark, Douglas Leon Clark, William Ray Clark, Gene Thomas Clark, and Edward Key.
Jeril is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Doris Noretta Clark of Barnsley, KY; two children, Carolyn Clark Hibbs of Madisonville, KY and Jerry Clark and his wife, Renae, of Mortons Gap, KY; two sisters, Linda Jones and Betty Allen both of Madisonville, KY; two brothers, James Clark and Jewell Clark both of Madisonville, KY; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday November 26, 2024 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Pastor John McCurry officiating and burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00PM at the funeral Home.
The Pallbearers will be Eddie Burns, Micah Burns, Johnny Beard, Matt Gordon, Philip Clark and Joshua Clark.
