Danny Blankenship, 76, of Manitou, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at his residence. He was born on June 27, 1948 in Scottsville, KY to the late Hoyt Harper and Geneva Law Harper. Danny worked in retail for many years as a manager. He enjoyed everything in life and loved the Lord with all his heart.
Danny showed that by being a part of the Men’s ministry group at Victory Church. He loved traveling, selling cars, carpentry, and anything outdoors. Above all, he always made sure his family was taken care of.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria Griffith Blankenship; his two daughters, Dana (Chris) Patterson of Brewton, AL and Heather (Brandon) Tow of Manitou, KY; grandchildren, Alex (Beverly) Gartland-Patterson, Jordan (Montrez) Tandy, Cierra Patterson, Kaylee Tow, Zach Tow, and Ben Patterson; along with his great grandchildren, Rylee Combs, and upcoming arrival of Banks Tandy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Patterson officiating. Burial will take place at Hanson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Alex Gartland-Patterson, Zach Tow, Ben Patterson, Montrez Tandy, Brandon Tow, and Chris Patterson. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
