It’s too early to know the cause of a house fire that was fought in the middle of the night on Sunday. The homeowner was out of the structure at of 122 Genevieve Drive. When the fire department arrived, the two-story residence with the garage was fully engulfed. . The car had to extinguished in the driveway. The pets were recovered. The cost of damages is estimated to be 250-thousand dollars.
It’s believed that the success of Hopkins County’s expungement clinic could influence other communities to do the same thing. In Madisonville, over 120 individuals came seeking record relief and employment support. Now, Madisonville Community College will host the Expungement & Workforce Reentry Event Planning Workshop today. There will be four study groups. Any community desiring to start this kind of program is welcome to attend.

The K-C-T-C-S and a private university are out with a groundbreaking agreement. The dual-admission and transfer program with Thomas More University in the Northern Kentucky town of Erlanger would allow students across the Commonwealth to have a seamless and accessible path to complete both an associate and a bachelor’s degree. The K-C-T-C-S has 16 campuses. This includes Madisonville, Henderson, and Hopkinsville.
The state says U-S 41-A needs 14 more months of work. Just over 3 miles of an improved traffic configuration along U-S 41-A will include a safer intersection with KY 10-34, otherwise known as Rose Creek Road. The improved road will extend east from Tucker Schoolhouse Road to Madisonville.
The woman who began screaming in the parking lot of the Madisonville police is facing four charges. In checking her car, Brittney Garcia was in possession of marijuana. She also was charged trafficking marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication.
