Obituary
She was born on November 11, 1948, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Pauline Morgan Reynolds and James Otto Shelton. She was a self-employed retail owner. She enjoyed canning, cooking and sharing her food with others, especially her fried apple pies. Ginger attended Carter’s Chapel in Madisonville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Maurice Reynolds; her son, Maurice Chan Hayes; sister, Nina Pesterfield; and her grandson, Taroh Dominick Negyen.
Her survivors include her husband of fifty-six years, Bro. Thomas “Tommy” Hayes; son, John Hayes of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Chandra (Allen) Beck of Evansville, IN; sister, Jamica Greenwell of Madisonville; grandson, Ramachi Hayes of Grand Junction; granddaughter, Adelene Beck and Elise Beck, both of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville with Bro. Tim Vannoy officiating.
A visitation will be held at Noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Allen Beck, John Greenwell, Danny Perkins, Aaron Greenwell, Diana Anderson and Debbie Stewart.
