Obituary
She was born on March 3, 1947, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Maggie Bell Stroud Vick and George Raymond Vick. She was employed at Roses for thirteen years, Regional Medical Center in Madisonville for five years, and enjoyed working alongside her husband on the farm for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and looking at photos relishing in the great memories. She enjoyed cooking. Janice was a member of Praise Temple Church in Madisonville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William “Billy” Turner and her sister, Mary Jane Skeen.
Survivors include her Husband of forty years, Keith Rust of Madisonville, KY; daughter, Mary Ann Kirkwood of Madisonville; stepson, Barron Rust of Crofton, KY; sister, Joyce White of Portage, IN; brother, Raymond (Leah) Vick of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Jessica (Eric) Sellers, Keyla Turner; step grandchildren, Bentley Rust, Kenny Bigers, and Katina Bigers; several great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews..
A funeral service will be held at 11a.m on Monday, October 13, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Cook officiating and Duane Burden assisting. Burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Duane Burden, Barron Rust, Darrel Todd, Jeff Rust, Dan Rust and Eric Sellers.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jan’s memory to Praise Temple Apostolic Children’s Ministry.
