Phyllis Rae Renshaw, 90

After a long and fulfilling life, Phyllis Rae Renshaw, age 90, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at her home in Madisonville, KY. She was born May 24, 1935, in Christian County, KY. Her loving parents were the late Ewing “Pete” and Lois Hardison. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Renshaw, an infant daughter, Susan Rose Renshaw, and sisters, Elwanda Pickup and Hilda Baldwin. She lived a richly blessed life, filled with precious life experiences, love, joy with family and friends. Her legacy will live in our hearts and minds. Phyllis is survived by four children, Robert Renshaw, Jr. of Guthrie, OK, Paula (Mark) Vandiver of Madisonville, Steve (Lisa) Renshaw of Lexington, KY and Melody Renshaw of Hermitage, TN; five grandchildren, Leigh Graves of Franklin, TN, Lauren Ewing of Lexington, KY, Michael Vandiver of Madisonville, Rachael Renshaw of Louisville, KY and John Renshaw of Lexington, KY, and eight great grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Madisonville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home Madisonville Chapel with Pastor John Kalz officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be the children and grand children. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hopkins County Public Library.
