Obituary
He was born on November 14, 1939, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Anna Mae Dexter Hook and William Herman Hook. He formerly worked at Versnick Manufacturing, Muffler Express and was co owner of BJ’s Prints and Frames. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Anton Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, farming, and watching western movies and he dearly loved his pets. His greatest joy was spending time with His family. Pete was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Lynn Hatton; brother, Don Gary Hook; and his sister, Freida Mae Cotton.
His survivors include his wife of sixty-seven years, Barbara “BJ” Williams Hook of Madisonville; son, Jeff (Regina) Hook of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Noah) McCutcheon, Savannah Hook, Kimberly Hatton, April Hatton, Clay Hatton, Vicky Nichols, and Bonnie Stewart; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at Hicklin Cemetery in Anton.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
