Obituary
He was born on April 19, 1954, in Beaver Dam, KY, to the late Dolly Flowers Simmons and Rev. Stanford Lee Simmons. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served from 1978 to 1982. He joined the National Guard and served several years. He was a graduate of Madisonville Community College with an associate in applied science degree. He was last employed at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY, as a Biomedical Technician. He loved music and was an avid UK basketball and football fan. Tim was a resident of WKVC for the past thirteen and a half years. The family wants to thank the staff who provided great care and gave his life great meaning and purpose. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William David Simmons.
Tim is survived by his sister, Patty Simmons of Madisonville.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 246 North Main Street in Madisonville with Pastor Bill Bursztynski and Chaplain Nick Duvall officiating. Burial to follow at Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville, KY. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army and also by the Christian County Honor Guard. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday at the church.
