Donnie Carlton Obituary
Donnie Ray Carlton, 72 of White Plains passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his home. His parents were the late Charles and Pearlie (Pyles) Carlton. Donnie was of Christian faith and although he did belong to any one church, he did watch a variety of sermons and bible studies online regularly. He worked as a coal miner for Pyro Mining Company until retirement; he was also the owner/operator of The Cat’s Den and Tootsie’s in Nortonville. Donnie was a UK Wildcats basketball fan, but he was a true sports fan that enjoyed watching all sports.
He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Charles and Pearlie Carlton; mother, Betty (John Paul) Fugate; and several brothers and sisters.
Survived by his children, Heath (Christi) Carlton of Kuttawa, Josh Carlton of White Plains, Luke (Jill) Carlton of White Plains and Lindsey Carlton of White Plains; significant other, Janice Dunlap; daughter, Brittany Kelly; 14 grandchildren, Courtney (Greyson) Taylor, Sierra Carlton, Austin (Paige) Wright, Abbie(Will) Cassity, Blake Carlton, Makinzie Caraway, Zeke Pratt, Blayde (Sydnee) Carlton, Logan Carlton, Sawyer Hagar, Charley Carlton, Xavier Coakley, Blair Tolbert and Daylina Kelly; 7 great-grandchildren, Braxton, Alexis, Everett, and Callen Taylor, Ben Caraway, Sam Wright and Evelyn Cassity; several brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Saturday at Noon at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Charlie Spears officiating and Bro. Heath Carlton assisting. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will begin at 10:00am at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Austin Wright, Blake Carlton, Blayde Carlton, Zeke Pratt, Logan Carlton and Sawyer Hager.
