Lomelda Lynn, 84, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at her residence.
She was born May 26, 1940, in Dalton, KY to the late Owen Franklin and Gladys Vincent Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Dale Lynn; and her brothers, J.D. Franklin, Mangum Franklin, Maurice Franklin, and Wendell Franklin.
Lomelda made her living as a homemaker. She was a graduate of Charleston Highschool and a member of Charleston Baptist Church. She loved spending time with the “80’s Ladies,” and they loved to eat and shop. Lomelda loved her grandkids, and great grandkids.
She is survived by her daughters, Starla (Bill) Hendrix of Central City, KY, Shala (Brad) Cullen of Madisonville, and Sharen Lynn Baker of Louisville, KY; brother, Malcolm Franklin of Madisonville and Gene Franklin of Princeton, KY; along with six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lynn officiating.
Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Cullen, Brandon Martin, Johnny Groves, Jeremy VanBussum, Will DeArmond, and Bill Hendrix.
