Danielle Laroze Stewart, 66, of Madisonville, KY passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.
Danielle was born February 11, 1958, in Lutcher, LA to the late Daniel Laroze and Rowena Roussel Laroze. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Darren “Pete” Laroze.
Danielle was a teacher at Christ the King School, as well as a devout member of Christ the King Catholic Church, for over 30 years. The amount of children whose lives she touched and educated is uncountable. She enjoyed spending her time camping or finding an occasional slot machine. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Danielle is survived by her husband, George Stewart of Madisonville; two sons, Matthew (Lindsey) Stewart of Berea and Daniel (Makenna) Stewart of Berea; sisters, Anita Michel and Tammy Martin; and her granddaughters, Penny, Hattie, and Gemma Stewart.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Madisonville with Father Steve Hohman officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church with a rosary at 6:00 P.M. that evening, and from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Tunnels to Towers, or the Christ the King Catholic School. Envelopes will be available at the church.
