Annise June Clark Cox, 88, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehab in Madisonville. June has gone on to be with her Savior and Lord.
She was born on February 27, 1936, in Hopkins County, KY, to the late Sarah D. Chappell Clark and William Wickliffe. June retired from Trover Clinic after twenty years of service. She enjoyed working in her flowers, making quilts, and working word search puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was blessed to have many friends over the years and a special friend, Mary Rogers, with whom they spoke almost daily. June was a member of Parkview Methodist Church in Madisonville, KY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Ray Cox; daughter, Teresa Evans; sister, Joyce Marshall; and her brothers, Darrell Clark, Jim Clark, George Clark, and Gary Clark.
June’s survivors include her son, Dwight (Janice) Cox of Henderson, KY; brother, Ron (Brenda) Clark of Madisonville; sister, Glenda Clark; grandchildren, Heath (Sarah) Cox, Heather (Mike) McCool, and Zach (Kayela) Evans; great-grandchildren, Hannah Porter, Noah McCool, and Hadleigh Evans; great-great-grandchildren, Mila Porter, Madilyn Porter, Marlee Porter, and Blakely McCool.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with her son, Bro. Dwight Cox officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Frank Evans, Zach Evans, Roy Cox, Heath Cox, Gary Clark, Carroll Clark, and Troy Clark. The honorary pallbearer is Ronnie Clark.
