Nancy Ann Grace, 73 of White Plains passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Maple Health & Rehabilitation in Greenville. Born July 31, 1951, to the late Truman and Myra (Gilliland) Cansler. She was an active member of White Plains Missionary Baptist Church for 60 years, teaching Sunday School classes, church treasurer, helping with VBS are just a few of her contributions over the years. She also played the piano and the organ for the church for many years and has given piano lessons in the past. Nancy was a South Hopkins HS Class of 69′ graduate, and she worked as a payroll clerk throughout her working years for the hospital, Ligon Trucking and Goldenrod Dairy. She enjoyed learning about her family’s genealogy and history. Nancy’s heart belonged to her family; her world revolved around being close with her family.
Survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Roger Grace; sons, Curtis (Melissa) Grace of White Plains and Brent (Rachel) Grace of Nortonville; grandsons, Ethan Grace, Parker Grace and Corey Grace; brother, Stephen (Rosemary) Cansler of Graham; sister, Cathy Pierce of White Plains; aunt, Garnettia Wiggins of MI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm at White Plains Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Bro. J.D. Holt, Bro. Ben Prevette and Bro. Jay Stratton. Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville and Wednesday from noon until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Mark, Malcolm and Casey Larkins, Darrell and Gary Crafton and Cadrell McReynolds. Honorary Pallbearers are Ethan, Parker and Corey Grace, Stephen and Terry Cansler, Steve James and Wade Bruce.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Nancy’s honor to Gideon International or the White Plains Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
