Margie Lee Harris, 90, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at The Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.
She was born on May 26, 1934 in Anton, KY to the late Charlie E. Proctor and Lee Ellen Gipson Proctor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Harris; three sisters, Minnie Devine, Edna Mae Simpson, and Kathleen Daniel; and five brothers, Walter Proctor, Clarence Proctor, Charles Proctor, Paul Proctor, and Robert Proctor.
Margie loved being with her family, visiting with friends, shopping, and playing cards. She also loved flowers in addition to her birds and was a wonderful cook. She was a giver with a big heart.
She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Ann Harris of Nashville, TN; one son, Steven (Lisa) Harris of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Laura Lee Armstrong and Stephanie Ann Allen, both of Madisonville; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Melissa Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
