Lois Faye Webster Parish, 91, of Manitou, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Madisonville Health and Rehabilitation.
Lois was born on February 25, 1933, in Manitou, KY, to Harold Webster and Grace Rhew Webster. She attended Nebo School. Lois was a lifelong member of Concord General Baptist Church in Manitou. In 1959, she married Leonard Parish, and together they enjoyed traveling, visiting forty-six states. Lois cherished taking trips with her children and grandchildren. When not traveling, she enjoyed collecting dolls, cooking, canning, baking, and making candy. Her friends and family always requested jars of her famous dill pickles. Lois also worked at GE, retiring after twenty-seven years of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death her first husband, Harvey Dixon, who passed away in a mining accident in 1955; three siblings, Rev. Scotty (Faye) Webster, Wanda Webster, and Wilma Webster; and her great-grandson, Dustin McMillian.
Lois is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Leonard Parish; four sons, Carroll (Jan) Dixon, Tommy Dixon, Paul Parish, and Dr. Samuel (Anita) Parish; five grandchildren, Rachel (John) Dixon Miller, Tenille (Peter) Dixon-Pawlus, Tara Dixon, Emily (Doug) Parish Clark, and Lincoln Parish; and four great-grandchildren, Cadin McMillian, Isaac Miller, Autumn Miller, and Olivia Clark.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Concord General Baptist Church in Manitou with Pastor Eddie Fleming officiating and Carroll Wayne Parish assisting. Burial to follow at Concord General Baptist Church Cemetery in Manitou.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers are Tommy Dixon, Paul Parish, Dr. Samuel Parish, Lincoln Parish, John Miller, and Isaac Miller.
