Sharon Lynne Vandiver, 63 of Nortonville passed away Monday, December 10, 2024, at her home with her family at her side. Born March 8, 1961, to the late James Brasher and to Dorothy (Craddock) Brasher Knight. She worked as a housekeeper for Associate Engineers and previously worked at Wal-Mart. Sharon loved listening to music through her headphones. She also loved reading books, and could not be interrupted when she was deep in a story. She could often be found on the porch swing watching her grandbabies. Most of all she loved the Lord and tried to live for Him.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Lewis Vandiver, Jr.; and her father.
Survived by her 3 daughters, Jennifer Edmonson of Earlington, Katrina (William) Drake III and Jaymi (James) Hammond of Cadiz; mother, Dorothy Knight; 7 grandchildren, Isabell Perez, Allona Perez, Ja’mya Vandiver, Shianne Herron, Alijah Drake, Isaiah Youngblood and Noah Hammond; 2 great-grandchildren, Izzy White and S.J. Carbajal; 3 siblings, Debbie Proffitt, James Brasher and Vicky Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Friday at 1:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Pastor Howard Jones officiating. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will begin at 11:00am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Matthew Proffitt, Jake Miller, Isaiah Youngblood, James Hammond, Alijah Drake and Daniel Vandiver. Honorary pallbearers are Victor Vandiver, James Brasher and Murray Vandiver.
