Brian Kenneth Baldwin, 58, of Hanson, KY passed away on October 7th, 2024 peacefully after a lengthy illness at Madisonville Health and Rehabilitation, in Madisonville Kentucky. He was born July 5th, 1966 to Ronnie and Julia (Judy) Baldwin of Hanson, KY. Brian grew up with his sister Michele Baldwin of Bowling Green Kentucky, Jeffery (Leigh) Baldwin of Clarksville, TN, and Bradley (Melanie) Baldwin of Hanson, KY.
He was a graduate of Madisonville North Hopkins High School class of 1984, and he also attended Madisonville Community College and the University of Kentucky. Brian enjoyed music and the outdoors, particularly golfing, fishing, and bird hunting. He worked for many years for Bentley Badgett II and Sextet Mining, for Armstrong Coal, and for Attorney William M Cox Jr.
He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents James Deo Baldwin and Helen Lorene Wiley Baldwin, and by his maternal grandparents Chester Paul “Check” Haynie, and Susie Thelma Tedder Haynie. He is survived by his sister Michele Baldwin, his brothers Jeff (Leigh) Baldwin and Brad (Melanie) Baldwin and by his nephew Tyler Baldwin and niece Hannah Baldwin (Jeffrey/Leigh), and by his step nephew Lawson Tapp and step niece Isabella Tapp (Bradley/Melanie), and by lots of aunts and uncles and many cousins.
A service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday October 10, 2024 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Kris Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Paul Haynie, John Baldwin, Jason Baldwin, Cary Baldwin, Kent Baldwin, and Scott Baldwin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Merle M Mahr Cancer Center at Baptist Health Deaconess.
