William Paul Burris, 77, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital. He was born November 5, 1948 in Blackford, KY to the late William Curtis Burris and Virginia Oldham Burris.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Richard Burris.
Paul was a retired firefighter and a US Air Force veteran. He was a member of the VFW in Providence along with American Legion Post 6.
He loved to play bingo and watch Kentucky Basketball. Above all things, he loved his family.
He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Burris of Nortonville; nieces and nephews, Joey Buchanan, Steven Buchanan, Denise Cates, Jessie Burris and Chris Burris; along with great nieces and nephews.
Graves services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Military funeral honors will be provided by the Air Force Honor Guard.
