Cheryl Darlene Massey , 66, of Earlington, KY passed away on Sunday, September 27,2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY.
She was born on December 28, 1959 to the late James Everett and Joyce Dean Hale
Cheryl was a member of Life Apostolic Church in Madisonville, Ky and a member of T.O.P.S Madisonville Chapter.
She had worked as a custodian at Nebo, Hanson, and Browing Springs schools for Hopkins County School System.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James “Sonny” L. Massey.
Cheryl is survived by six children Mark (Lisa) Vaughn of Madisonville, KY, Kathy (Danny) Seigler of St. Charles, KY, Rhonda (Bill) Carter of Earlington, KY, Christopher (Amanda) Massey of Madisonville, KY, Matthew Massey of Madisonville, KY, and Dixie Massey of Earlington, KY; one sister, Roxanne Mason of Smyrna, TN; one brother, James Daniel Hale of Madisonville, KY; fourteen grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; and four nieces.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 3:00PM at Life Apostolic Church in Madisonville, KY.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 11:00 am until service time at 3:00PM at the church.
