Samuel Conrad Westby, 75, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.
He was born on August 13, 1951, in Evansville, IN, to the late Mary Hyatt Westby and Michael Westby. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He retired from Goodyear. Samuel was a former Quartermaster for VFW Post 5480 and also a member of American Legion Post 6, both of Madisonville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Vickie Westby; brother, Ronald Westby; and his sister, Karen Chandler.
His survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth Westby Harboldt of Madisonville and Misty (Mike) Gogel of Dale, IN; son, Kevin Westby of Madisonville; sister, Toni (Terry) Rogers of Madisonville; brothers, Paul Westby of Troy, TN, and Jack Westby of Madisonville; grandchildren, Alex Gogel, Evan Gogel, Trevor Gogel, Hannah Harrell, Samantha Phillips, and Victoria Phillips; great-grandchildren, Sammy Gogel, Jaxson Burcham, Maverik Burcham, Weston Minnick, and Myles Minnick; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps and the Hopkins County Honor Guard. A private burial will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home.
