Tony Ray Pickerel, 68, of Madisonville, KY passed away on September 4, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.
He was born on July 4, 1958 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Sue Ann Pickerel.
Tony was of the Christian faith and was a retired licensed Plumber. He had also retired as a volunteer fire fighter after thirty years with the Mortons Gap and Earlington Fire Departments.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, he liked watching TV, Star Trek, enjoyed sports, Chicago Bears, coloring, collecting, zippo lighters, and anything to do with the Fire Department.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by Grandmother, Annie Griffin.
Tony is survived by his wife, Belinda Pickerel of Madisonville, KY; son, Jonathan Pickerel of Hopkinsville, KY; stepchildren, Steven Cotton of Madisonville, KY, Anna Jo (Robert) Pollard of Madisonville, KY, and Georgie Huddleston of Madisonville, KY; grandkids, Aden Pollard, Zander Pollard, Dyillon Pickerel, Addie Pickerel, Charlie Pickerel, Kaydence Matchem, Kristian Matchem, and Hailey Winfield; great grandkids, Bellamien Gray-Pollard and Ophelia Gray-Pollard; and lots of cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 7, 2026 at 10:00AM at Earlington General Baptist Church located at 501 South Atkinson Street in Earlington, KY with Rev. Mike Easley officiating.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2026 from 9:00AM until service time at 10:00AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Tony’s funeral expenses may be made to Reid-Walters Funeral Home.
