Roy Edward Baldwin, 77, of Owensboro, KY, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at Owensboro Regional Hospital.
He was born on July 29, 1949, in Hanson, KY to the late James Deo Baldwin and Helen Loraine Wiley Baldwin. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Baldwin, Ronnie Baldwin, and David Baldwin.
Roy made his living self-employed as a logger. That career turned into a passion for wood carving, and he also enjoyed western novels.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Clif) Seaton of Muhlenberg County; son, Bruce (Heather) Baldwin of Owensboro; four sisters, Margaret Melton of Georgia, Deborah Lewis of Hanson, Louise Brooks of Slaughters, and Wanda Bryant of Providence; brother, James Deo “Uncle Buck” Baldwin of Hanson, Harry Thomas Baldwin of Slaughters, and Danny Baldwin of Madisonville; and grandson, Maddox Baldwin.
No services will be held for Mr. Baldwin at this time.
