Helen Maxine Hunt, 75, of Madisonville, formerly of Earlington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at 9:50 a.m. Thursday August 13, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville with her beloved family members by her bedside.
A native of Earlington, she was born to the late James Hunt and Mary Elizabeth Yates Hunt on August 23, 1950.
Helen was a member of Covenant Community Church in Madisonville where she participated in multiple activities in the church, including the C3 Children’s Ministry and Dream Team, “A Stitch in Time” sewing group, and as a Faith/dedicated member. She also was a member of the PACTUS Lion’s Club Quest team.
Helen had served as a store manager with Hancock Fabric Store and as a Seamstress, had worked many years at South Central Bell in Madisonville, and graduated from Earlington High School.
She loved sewing, crafting, baking, and working puzzles.
Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren, and siblings, all of whom will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Helen also was preceded in death by one a brother, Christopher Wayne Hunt; two sisters, Linda McNary and Betty Morrow; and a grandson, Quintin Elijah Dulin.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, two daughters, Jacquetta (Wallace) Rollins III of Madisonville and Shevone Dulin of Evansville, Indiana; a brother, James “Foxy” Hunt of Henderson, Kentucky; a sister, Sandra Lea (Jack) Burke of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren, Isaiah Jontae Rollins, of Evansville, Nevaeh Anise Rollins of Evansville, and Jaleel Anthony Faulk of Radcliff, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren, Quentin Wallace, A’myah Rollins, and Kashmiere Rollins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
On Saturday August 22, Helen’s life will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at Covenant Community Church in Madisonville.
Pastor Bryan Jackson of Covenant Community Church will be the presiding officiant.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington.
Helen’s visitation and wake service will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
The service will be live-streamed on Elliott-Bowles Mortuary facebook page beginning at 12:00 Noon central time.
Elliott-Bowles Mortuary in Madisonville, Kentucky is overseeing Helen’s funeral arrangements and professional services.
