There are many heavy hearts in Madisonville as residents hear about the 10-month-old child who died in a hot car last Thursday. No charges have been filed. It occurred at Owensboro Health Multi-Care on South Main Street. The grandmother is a doctor at Multi-Care. Stacey Fazenbaker was supposed to take Scottie Crowell to daycare. The child was discovered after eight hours. The police say the case will go to the grand jury. The parents are Micah and Sydni Crowell .
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office wants you to know that they are working to curb impaired driving. The deputies will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints. Drivers are encouraged to be cautious and expect potential delays.

Team Kentucky’s Transportation Cabinet is funding repairs to a Muhlenberg County road. The Department of Rural and Municipal Aid says $100,000 in County Road Aid Emergency Funds will be applied to Jernigan Chapel Road for drainage repairs.

Rocky Adkins says the association represents more than 5,600 plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters, and H-VAC service technicians. Adkins says throughout his career in public service, he has stood with organized labor in support of good-paying jobs, safe workplaces and workers’ rights.
Here’s the report on the speeding driver stopped by the Madisonville police in the middle of the night. The police had Camden Starks doing to 55 in a 35-mile-an-hour zone on Main at Center Street. The officer said Starks had a strong, alcoholic odor. He faces 5 charges, that include careless driving.
