Kenneth “Kenny” Douglas Hayes, 86, of Madisonville, KY passed away on August 13,2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.
He was born on February 2, 1940 in Earlington, KY to the late Johnny and Pauline Hayes
Kenny attended Hanson Holiness Church. He enjoyed playing guitar and playing guitar in church. He had worked at UC Milk Company and was co-owner of the former Hayes IGA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kendra Sherell Hayes; brothers, John William Hayes, Bro. Thomas “Tommy” Hayes, Jimmy Ray Hayes, and Wayne Hayes; sisters, Helen Sue Myers and Evelyn Perkins.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Dianne “Anne” Hayes of Madisonville, KY; one sister Jo Ann Ashby of Kuttawa, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 1:00PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Danny Perkins officiating and assisted by Bro. Farrell Shepherd, and burial to follow at Oakwood cemetery in Earlington, KY.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 from 10:00AM until service time at 1:00PM at the funeral home.
