Tyrone attended school in Madisonville and later entered the workforce, where he was employed by Tyson Chicken and the City of Madisonville.
In his spare time, Tyrone found great enjoyment at the fishing pond. Fishing was more than a pastime for him; it was an opportunity to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time doing something he truly loved.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his mother and father; his grandmother, Myrtle Slaton; three uncles; and one sister.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons, Tyrone Martin of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and William L. Gibson of Owensboro, Kentucky; daughters, Nicole and Angela Harley of Madisonville, Kentucky; brothers, Sam Shabazz of Columbus, Ohio, and Marion (Jerri) Stevenson of Earlington, Kentucky; sisters, Venenta A. Willson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Eva Martin of Columbia, South Carolina; one aunt, Antoinette Logan of Madisonville, Kentucky; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Tyrone also leaves to cherish his memory his very special friend, Roberta Harley, who shared his home and held a special place in his life.
Although Tyrone’s earthly journey has come to an end, the memories created throughout his life will remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His love for family, the relationships he shared, and those peaceful days spent at the fishing pond will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation is 12 -1 pm on Saturday, August 15th at Mason and Sons Funeral Home in Madisonville, Kentucky. Funeral to follow at 1 pm.
